CASTELLO DEL TREBBIO
"It was incredible: fruity, intense, and ruby red! I grew up with Sangiovese and realizing I could highlight its flavor, tannins, and fruit was thrilling!" Elena smiles happily, describing her first amphora Sangiovese. Alongside this variety, she also works with Trebbiano, another iconic grape grown at Castello del Trebbio.

TENUTA CASADEI
“Amphorae magnify the inimitable flavor of the Syrah grapes that grow in Suvereto’s mineral-rich soils… that’s why my Syrah is so gorgeously spicy!” Elena recounts. Among the varieties farmed at Tenuta Casadei, she also uses Moscato and Ansonica, both ideal for amphora vinification and aging.
